WW1 Discharge Certificate 1917 - Devonshire Regiment
Item Specifics
A First World War discharge certificate for Private Thomas Frost 20677. Pte Frost was honourably discharged from the Devonshire Regiment on 09 May 1917 owing to being disabled. These certificates were issued to prevent discharged soldiers from being accused of cowardice, and served as proof of honorable discharge. This certificate is mounted in a contemporary frame, and shows signs of slight water marks and some foxing. Research suggests that Pte Frost was injured on the Western Front in May 1917.
