A late Victorian Gothic Revival side chair in mahogany, with crisp carved detail to the back rail and front legs. The upholstery has been removed to reveal the calico base layer over the original sprung seat and back. Raised on brass front castors with brown porcelain wheels. Honest knocks, dents and colour loss contribute to its patina. A characterful piece, ideal for a bedroom or occasional use.
