French Bedside Table - Circa 1900

A late 19th to early 20th century provincial French bedside table with its original brown marble top. Walnut veneer laid out in a chevron or herringbone pattern popular with French furniture makers of the time. Designed for use as a pot cupboard hence the white marble interior. Raised on shapely cabriole legs with flowing aprons. Single drawer and cupboard each with carved relief and button pulls. The surface patina is consistent and honest. A practical and decorative example of French country craftsmanship which would make fabulous interior decoration.
