The Coronation of Edward VIII was due to take place on 12 May 1937 - but did not happen. Edward abdicated the throne on 11 December 1936. This plaque, and others like it are becoming rare and collectable. This plaque has a couple of minor creases to its metal facing. The verso card has the original hanging string and the manufactures 'Metalcraft' label is still in perfect condition.
